BR-40DP series is combined Type 2+3 / Class II+III devices for discharging voltage surges while providing a very fine voltage protection level.
Anwendung:
For protection of power supply systems.
For the protection of low voltage distribution systems against transient overvoltage caused by indirect lightning stroke and switching operations.
For using in the lightning protection zones concept at boundary 2-3.
Applied to power supply protection of equipment system in areas with high lightning risk.
Installation:
Suitable as the final stage of protection in panels with Type 2 protection devices installed upstream.
These SPDs should be installed as close as possible to the equipment being protected.
Installed at a minimum conductor length of 10 meters (30 feet) from the electrical service panel to the point of utilization, for example cord connected, direct plug-in, receptacle type SPDs installed at the utilization equipment being protected. The distance (10 meters) is exclusive of the conductors provided with or used to attach SPDs.
